New Modeling of Hail Threats in Response to Climate Change

A recent paper from Brimelow et al. in Nature Climate Change explores the changing hail threat over North America as a result of human-caused climate change. This new research utilizes a new modeling approach and finds that there is an anticipated increase in hail damage potential in the Rocky Mountains during the summer. This projected increase in hail damage could have a significant effect on agriculture and potential crop damage, as discussed and referenced in the MCA Agriculture Chapter.
