What: Interested in learning more about NASA’s Health and Air Quality Programs? Join us on Friday, August 2 at 12 p.m. MT for a briefing for the health community from NASA Health and Air Quality Program Manager John Haynes, who will provide an overview of Health and Air Quality Applications in the Applied Sciences Program of the NASA Earth Science Division. He will present a selection of environmental health projects related to air pollution, drought, extreme heat, and wildfires, and illustrate how Earth observations have supported surveillance and monitoring programs, enhanced communication among stakeholders, and advanced coordinated response efforts to mitigate environmental health risks. The briefing will take place in person at the American Academy of Pediatrics’ office in DC, AND virtually by video conference.
